Maternity

Your body is doing something remarkable right now.

These images document that truth before life moves forward.

Full transparency: pregnancy was hard for me at the end. I was uncomfortable, exhausted, and didn’t feel like myself most days. But when I look at my own photos now, I see something I couldn’t see then. I see strength. I see a body doing something remarkable. I see a version of me worth remembering. That’s what I want to give you.

Common Questions

What to know before booking your maternity session

When should I schedule my session?

Somewhere between 28 and 34 weeks is the sweet spot. Your bump is visible, but you're not so far along that you're completely uncomfortable. That said, every pregnancy is different. If you're carrying twins or have other factors at play, we can talk timing.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel like yourself. Flowy dresses photograph beautifully, but so do jeans and a simple top. Fitted clothing shows off your bump best. I'll send a style guide after you book with more ideas, but the short answer is: wear something you actually like, not something you think you're supposed to wear.

Can my partner and kids be in the photos?

Absolutely. Solo shots, partner shots, the whole crew. We'll do a mix so you have options. Older kids are welcome, and honestly, the candid moments with them tend to be the best ones.

Indoor or outdoor?

Your call. Outdoor sessions work well in the morning or late afternoon when the light is soft. Indoor works any time and gives us more control. We can also do both if you want variety. I'm flexible.

What if I don't feel photogenic?

Most people don't. That's not your job. Your job is to show up. My job is to find the angles, the light, and the moments that feel true to you. I'll guide you the whole time. You don't need to know how to pose.

How long does a session take?

About an hour, sometimes a little more if we're doing multiple outfit changes or including family. There's no rush. We take breaks if you need them.

When do I get my photos?

Within two weeks. You'll receive a private online gallery with all your edited images, ready to download and share.

Do you travel?

Travel is included within 20 miles of Archbald. Beyond that, a small travel fee applies. If you have a meaningful location in mind, let's make it work.
