In-Home Studio Childhood Photography. Why Your Home is the Best Studio
I come to you. No packing the car, no driving to an unfamiliar studio, no meltdowns in the car because nap time got pushed back an hour. Your child’s portraits happen in the space where they feel most comfortable: your home.
When I photograph children in their natural environment, everything changes. They can grab their favorite toy when they need a confidence boost. They can take a snack break in their own kitchen. They can show me their room, their art, the blanket fort they built this morning. All of that becomes part of the session, part of the story, part of what makes these portraits unmistakably theirs.
There’s no timer ticking. No pressure to perform. If your toddler needs to reset after ten minutes, we reset. If your seven-year-old wants to show me their rock collection before we take any photos, we look at rocks. Maybe they work their way into the pictures. I work around naps, snacks, and the natural rhythm of your child’s day because that’s when the magic happens. Not when they’re forced to smile on command in a sterile studio, but when they’re relaxed, curious, and just being themselves.
By the end of our session, I’m not a stranger with a camera anymore. I’m the silly lady who made weird noises, asked about dinosaurs, and played along. And that’s exactly why the portraits work.
Beautiful, timeless, frame-worthy. The classic shot you envisioned. Every session delivers these because they matter, they’re important, and you deserve portraits your whole family will love.
The personality. The play. The perfectly imperfect moment that’s so unmistakably them. Through portraits through play, you get both: the polished images you need and the authentic moments that stop you in your tracks every time you walk past them. Because you won’t get these moments back, but you sure will think about them and smile.
Why displaying your child's portraits matters
Research from Tulane University found that children who saw and handled photographs of themselves demonstrated a 37% increase in behavioral self-esteem. When kids walk past portraits of themselves on the walls of their own home, they receive a powerful, daily message: You matter. You belong here. You are loved.
This is why I’m so intentional about creating portraits that are uniquely them. Not just the perfectly posed shots, but the ones that capture their real personality, their quirks, their authentic selves. When your child sees themselves celebrated on your walls exactly as they are, messy hair and silly faces and all the things that make them different, they learn something profound: there is nothing about who they are that needs to be hidden or changed. They learn that their authentic self is not just acceptable, but worth celebrating and preserving forever.
In a world that will spend the next decade telling them to be someone else, these portraits become proof that who they already are is enough.

The "I do it myself" stage. They're fast, opinionated, and rarely sit still. I don't fight it. We follow their energy, catch the giggles between meltdowns, and find the magic in the chaos.
Kids
Ages 4 and Up
Big kids with big personalities. Whether they're wild or shy, we'll capture who they are right now.

Your Whole Crew
Whether that's parents + kids, just the siblings, grandparents, pets, chaos and all. Multiple kids fall into the "whole crew" category.
All sessions include high-resolution digital files and print release.
Frequently Asked Questions
I come to your home. Sessions happen in the space where your child feels most comfortable, which means better portraits and zero stress about getting everyone out the door on time.
Plan for about an hour, but we work on your child's schedule. If they need a snack break or a quick reset, we take it. There's no clock ticking and no pressure.
Whatever they're comfortable in. Seriously. If that's their favorite superhero shirt or their unicorn costume, perfect. Authenticity matters more than matching outfits.
That's exactly why I work the way I do. We start slow, we play, we let them warm up at their own pace. I've photographed plenty of camera-shy kids, and by the end they usually don't want me to leave.
You'll receive your full gallery of edited, high-resolution digital images within 2-3 weeks of your session, along with print release so you can print wherever you'd like.
