Effective Date: March 18, 2026

Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy describes how Brooke Polito Photo LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information gathered through brookepolito.photography. By using this website, you agree to the practices described below.

We are based in Northeastern Pennsylvania and operate as a portrait photography business. We collect only the information we actually need, we do not sell your data, and we aim to be straightforward about how everything works.

01 — Information We Collect

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: directly from you, and automatically through your use of the website.

Information you provide directly:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number when you submit a contact or inquiry form
  • Any details you share about your photography session, event, or project in a message

Information collected automatically:

  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs
  • General geographic location (city or region level, not precise GPS data)
  • IP address and session identifiers

Automatic data is collected through cookies and analytics tools described in the Cookies section below.

02 — How We Use It

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your inquiries and booking requests
  • Communicating session details, timelines, or follow-up information
  • Improving website content and user experience based on aggregate analytics data
  • Complying with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send unsolicited marketing emails. If you reach out to us, we will only contact you in direct response to your inquiry or as part of an active client relationship.

03 — Cookies & Tracking

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

This website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors interact with our content. A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser.

We may use the following types of cookies:

  • Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics): These track aggregate usage data like page views, session duration, and traffic sources. This data is anonymized and used only to understand how the site is being used so we can improve it.
  • Functional cookies: These support basic website functionality, such as remembering your preferences or enabling embedded forms.
  • Third-party cookies: Some tools embedded on this site (such as contact or booking platforms) may set their own cookies. Those tools are governed by their own privacy policies.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling cookies may affect how some features of this website function. Most browsers provide instructions for managing cookies in their help documentation.

This site may also use pixel tags or similar technologies embedded by third-party services (for example, social media platforms). These tools allow those platforms to recognize your browser and may be used to understand traffic sources. We do not control data collected by these third-party pixels directly.

04 — Third Parties

Third-Party Services & Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the website and deliver photography services. This may include:

  • Analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics) that process anonymized site usage data
  • Booking, scheduling, or contact management tools used to coordinate sessions
  • Email service providers used to respond to inquiries
  • Payment processors, if applicable, for session deposits or invoices

These providers are engaged solely to support our operations. They are not authorized to use your information for their own marketing purposes. Each third-party service is subject to its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review those policies for tools you interact with directly.

We may also disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or government request.

05 — Data Retention

Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions and client communication records for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected, including any follow-up communication or active client relationship, and to comply with legal or recordkeeping obligations.

Analytics data is retained according to the settings and policies of the platforms we use (such as Google Analytics). Aggregate, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely for historical reference.

If you would like us to delete your personal information, please contact us using the information in the Contact section below. We will honor deletion requests where we are not legally required to retain the data.

06 — Your Rights

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of certain data collection, such as analytics tracking, through your browser or device settings

Pennsylvania residents and residents of other U.S. states with applicable privacy laws may have additional rights. To exercise any of these rights, please reach out to us directly at the contact information below. We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable timeframe.

We do not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. If you ask us to delete your information, it will not affect any services you have already received.

07 — Children’s Privacy

Children’s Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site without parental consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Photography sessions involving minors are booked and managed through a parent or legal guardian. Any information collected in connection with those bookings is provided by and belongs to the adult client.

We will never publish, share, or display photographs of minors on this website, on social media, or in any other public-facing context without prior written consent from a parent or legal guardian. Participation in a session does not constitute consent to publish. Clients are under no obligation to grant publishing rights, and declining to do so has no effect on the services provided.
